Marrakech presented itself as an evident choice.

Villa Taj is one of those places that carries within it something irreducible; that way grand Moroccan estates have of enveloping you from the moment you step inside, making you understand, even before you have seen anything, that you have entered another world. And that evening, we had adorned it with light.

Thousands of candles, everywhere. Placed upon the ground along palm-lined pathways, floating on the surface of the pools, suspended within golden lanterns that swayed gently in the warm night. Villa Taj did not burn, it radiated. With a warm, living, trembling light that transformed each space into something infinitely more precious than what the day had revealed.

Guests discovered a world.
